In this ever-evolving age of technology, the internet plays a crucial role. And to support your browsing needs, a router is a must-have to deliver the optimum connectivity for everyday usage. In today’s blog, we are going to talk about the ultimate router of all.

The D Link cloud router is known to be the only router in its class with a cloud app, with a speed that can get up to 300 Mbps and a performance no other router can provide. Let’s jump on to the next step after you buy the router that can make your life easier.

How to Connect your Router?

  • DLS users without modem– A DSL user needs a PPPoE to connect to the D-Link cloud router if the ISP hasn’t provided a modem. If the ISP provides the credentials, then the router is connected to the internet.
  • DLS users with modem/router combo– If the PPPoE credentials don’t support a custom router, then you need to place the D Link router behind the modem/router from the ISP. The router needs to be set on DMZ or in Bridge mode.
  • Cable/Fiber users– If you only have a modem, then you can connect the router behind it. You need to reboot the modem after the connection.

If your mains power supply fails, a UPS delivers an immediate, uninterrupted source of power. It also keeps electricity running between power outages and generator starts. While a result, as the battery charges, all of your connected business equipment will stay operational. You will not experience any data loss while working in the middle.

How to set up your D Link Cloud Router?

Congratulations! You have connected your router to the internet in the WAN port. Moving on, let us now guide you to the setup of your D-Link Cloud Router.

  • The first and foremost step is to open the router in a new browser tab. Then navigate to http://192.168.0.1, the default IP address of your router
  • Now you must enter a password to the router, and as soon as you are logged in, the Wizard shows up. This Wizard appears only in the first configuration. If by any chance you do not get the setup wizard then click through the Internet connection setup wizard in the center of the page.
  • The next step is for you to configure your internet connection. There are two options
    • DHCP connection which can be used if you have a modem from your ISP. Just select DHCP and click next. It does not need a hostname or MAC address. It can configure the DNS later, just click next.
    • Username/Password Connection (PPPoE). If you have the PPPoE credentials from your ISP then select this option, enter the credentials, and click next.
  • Now that you have the internet supporting you, next is the Wireless settings. You need to enter a new Wireless network name and password which will be required when you connect to the signal for the first time.
  • Enter a new password for your router and note this is not your wireless password. This password is required when you want to log in to your router configuration setup page.
  • Next, you are going to need to select an appropriate time zone to configure the time-based options for the router.
  • Since you have set up everything you will have a summary display of your wireless setting, click save and the router will reboot applying your new settings. And with that, we have your setup complete.

A UPS continuously monitors the incoming power and detects spikes and surges that cause outages. If dangerous circumstances emerge, the UPS will switch to AC power, preventing the spike from reaching the devices attached to it. When the surge has passed, the UPS reconnects its output to the electricity flowing from the mains.
